I am Candace D. Tate, President of the dynamic and dedicated Memphis Alumnae Chapter! The chapter has been a fixture in the Dynamic Southern Region since our historic chartering in 1935, led by five courageous women.
Our history includes almost nine decades of upholding the torch for Delta! Through our programming, activities, and community partnerships, we continually embrace the sorority's focus on scholarship, sisterhood, service, and social action in our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust. Our legacy includes being the home chapter to the 3 past Regional Directors, an honorary member, a regional representative, and many regionally and nationally appointed committee members, chairpersons, and co-chairpersons. The Memphis Alumnae Chapter is excited and focused on building on our dynamic foundation throughout the 2024-2026 biennium, elevating the corporate vision of our National President, Elsie Cook-Holmes, we are "committed to advancing social change, amplifying our global impact, and strengthening our sisterhood."
